Meet the Tribe: Allison Lichwa

Over three years, the Zieggy Tribe’s graphic designer Allison Lichwa has become an integral part of the process to get boxes and bags of ice pops in homes all over America.

“I enjoy doing all types of graphic design,” said Allison, “Especially the packaging. My favorite package designs are the Monster Pops Sours, Sonic Slushed Pops and Fruit Ninja.”

Allison started working at The Ziegenfelder Company as a graphic design and marketing intern when she was a Junior at West Liberty University.

“It pleasantly surprised me how welcoming everyone was when I first started here,” said Allison. “It’s like a big family. Be open minded. There’s so much to learn when you first walk in the door. There’s a lot of opportunities. Everybody is very helpful and wants to help you succeed.”

Allison admits she never expected to continue her career after college at an ice pop factory. She’s thankful she followed her own advice and kept an open mind related to the opportunities at The Ziegenfelder Company.

“I didn’t realize the need for graphic design in this industry,” said Allison, “But it’s all around you. It’s in every piece of packaging. It’s on every piece of apparel that we sell through the online store. It’s on all the posters that you see on the walls.”

When Allison is not at work, she’s planning her next travel adventure. Allison has travelled to Italy, Greece, the Caribbean, and various cities in the United States, just to name a few locations.  

“My mom is my travel buddy a lot,” said Allison. “We’ve gone to Ireland, Niagra Falls, Arizona, New York, and Florida. My favorite place we’ve visited so far is Ireland. The country had lots of shopping and the food was amazing.”
