Laura Wiggins called Rochester, New York home through her entire childhood. Then, she made a major change.

“I followed my sister to Los Angeles, California,” said Laura. “I followed her there with no job. I wanted to pursue a career in human resources. I had just graduated college with a degree in business management.”

Laura found her first job through an ad in the LA Times. She worked at a staffing company that connected nurses with the right positions. The experience Laura gained at the staffing company prepared her for her next move to a talent agency, and then to the human resources department of Fox Entertainment.  Despite the successes she saw in her professional life, Laura put her family first.

“My sister moved to Denver and I followed my sister, and my new niece!” said Laura. She made the move to Denver in January of 2011. While looking for a job in human resources, Laura cared for her first niece fulltime.

Laura now has three nieces who all love Budget Saver Assorted Twin Pops. She fondly recalls details about telling her family that she would begin working at the home of Budget Saver Twin Pops.

“I was so excited during my interview to see the plant,” said Laura, “Because I love finding out how things are made. My oldest two nieces have taken the tour too. It came with the special treat of wearing hair nets and eating Twin Pops. Now, my nieces routinely make items out of pop sticks.”

Laura explained that all of her prior jobs have led her to this Zieggy Tribe, whose members share the mission of making people smile with really cool treats.

“This job is exciting because of the fast pace,” said Laura. “It’s like no other job like you’ve done before so you just have to be open to learning and thinking differently. It’s a constant learning experience. Always something new.”
