Meet the Tribe: Stephanie Schuetz Haught

At The Ziegenfelder Company, Stephanie Schuetz Haught is pushed into a position of being a master negotiator as a logistics coordinator.

“In July, I will be with the company for 3 years,” said Stephanie. “I was hired into the logistics department in Wheeling. Now, I manage the logistics for all three plant locations. We are in charge of shipping all inventory to our customers, as well as deciding in the selection process of who we use as carriers to haul all products to customers. Plus, we negotiate the transportation rates.”

The unknowns associated with Stephanie’s job provide her with the favorite and the most challenging parts of her work.

“My favorite part of the job is nothing is ever the same. There is constant change in our department,” said Stephanie. “The hardest part is not having control over some of the shipping issues like weather on the roads, trucks having mechanical breakdowns or determining how long it takes to unload a truck at their destinations. As far as advice, I would tell anyone new to follow the Zieggy Essentials.”

Prior to joining the Zieggy Tribe, Stephanie worked in sales. Those opportunities allowed her to travel to various places across the United States. She was enticed to come to The Ziegenfelder Company because the company is headquartered in her hometown of Wheeling.

“I’ve living in Wheeling my entire life,” said Stephanie. “It’s nice to work for a local company knowing we product quality frozen ice novelties that are available anywhere in the country. A majority of my family is local which makes it easy to get together on regular basis.”

Outside of work, Stephanie and her husband love music. They go to as many concerts as possible. They also love cheering for their favorite teams by attending various sporting events.
