Preparations are in high gear at The Ziegenfelder Company to create smiles at the upcoming Twins Days Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. The three day event is the largest annual gathering of twins and other multiples in the world. And for all of us here at the home of Budget Saver TWIN Pops, it’s a lot of FUN.

If going to Twins Days was ever on your radar, this is definitely the year to attend! This year marks a major milestone for Twinsburg as the community celebrates its bicentennial. The festival will honor the founding of Twinsburg by identical twins Aaron and Moses Wilcox in 1817 with a special slogan: Twins Days 2017-TwinCentennial.

Twins Days started in 1976 as a one day event with 37 sets of twins on record as attending. From that first weekend, the event has grown into what you see today with a couple thousand sets of multiples on record as attending the festival each year since 1995.

This year’s festivities kick off Friday, August 4 with a golf outing followed by a Volleyball tournament, a cornhole contest, and dinner designed as a welcome for registered twins and their families. On Saturday and Sunday, the public is invited to join in the fun. Everything starts with the Double Take Parade Saturday morning. Then, get ready for a full schedule of entertainment including contests and the Twins Talent Show. Fireworks wrap up Saturday. Sunday includes a 5K race, the Twins Days 40th Festival Time Capsule Dedication Ceremony, and more entertainment until everything closes at 7 p.m.

Admission to the grounds for the public, non-residents of Twinsburg, non-registered twins, and families of registered twins is $4.00/person per day. Public parking is available near the festival grounds for $3/day, with regular shuttles running between the parking lots and the  festival grounds. For more information about the Twins Days Festival, go to the festival website at http://www.twinsdays.org.

If you decide to attend, make sure you stop by the Budget Saver tent to cool off with a refreshing Budget Saver frozen treat. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
